Rotary Engraving

Engraving done with a rotating cutting tool in a motorized spindle.  The tool, or cutter, cuts into the surface of the material to a predetermined depth and produces a groove of the same shape and dimension of the cutter.

Sublimation

Sublimation is a printing/engraving method for transferring images onto a polyethylene substrate (metals, material, ceramic, plastics) using a heat press machine. Sublimation refers to a process where a substance moves from a solid to a gas state without ever being in a liquid state. Sublimation normally involves the use of a digital "dye" sublimation printer to produce mirror images onto transfer paper, which in turn are then attached to the substrate being sublimated and placed in a heat press to complete.

Laser Engraving

Laser engraving is a process where the laser beam physically removes the surface of the material to expose a cavity that reveals an image at eye level.

Common materials used for this method: glass, crystal, acrylic, wood, leather, stone, marble, anodized metals and plastics.

Metal Marking

Certain metals such as stainless steel, aluminum and chrome are unable to be etched directly with the laser engraver. In order to achieve engraving on such surfaces, a carbon-black substrate is applied to the surface and then laser engraved. The laser beam permanently fuses the carbon-black substrate into the metal, leaving a black or dark grey image behind.
